Tell us something good.

Every week we love hearing the good stuff that's happening in your life — big or small. We round it up and celebrate it together, because that's what we do here.

Two ways to share

Option 1: Text it in

Got something good that happened this week? Just send us a text. Keep it short — a sentence or two is perfect. We might read yours out loud on Sunday.

Option 2: Send a video

Prefer to show us? Record a short video (10–15 seconds) and send it our way. A few quick tips below will help it look and sound great.

Making a great video is easy

— Video Tips

You don’t need anything fancy, just your phone and a few minutes. Here’s how to get a great shot.

  1. Shoot horizontal. Turn your phone sideways before you hit record.

  2. Eye level, straight on. Prop your phone up so the camera is level with your eyes — not looking up your nose or down at you. A stack of books or a shelf works great.

  3. Face the light. Stand facing a window or light source. If the light's behind you, you'll end up in shadow.

  4. Get close enough. Frame yourself from the chest up, centered in the shot.

  5. Find a quiet space. Background noise — TV, fans, traffic — makes it hard to hear you. A quiet room is best.

  6. Keep it steady. Lean your phone against something rather than holding it, if you can.

  7. 10–15 seconds, one take. Tell us the good thing that happened this week in a sentence or two. No need to introduce yourself unless you want to.

  8. Look at the lens, not the screen. It feels more like you're talking to us that way.
